We offer a number of Inspection Service Packages specifically designed to leverage our Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (Drone) technologies. These packages have been streamlined to work in a modular fashion with our Building Sciences & Condition Monitoring Technical Engineering Supports as well as integrate with our GIS/BIM Location Intelligence Mobile Application Development Solutions and Deliverables. All flights are conducted by our Transport Canada Certified and Commercially Insured Pilots accompanied by a Trained, Accredited & Certified Engineering Technician as the Inspection requires -i.e., a Level 3 ITC Infrared Thermographer would carry out the Thermal Infrared Imaging of an Inspection for a “Flat Roof Membrane” vs an “unskilled” Pilot/Labourer, ensuring the integrity of our services and your deliverables. ACCESSiFLY is the only RPAS/”Drone Service” covered under $10,000,000 standing insurance for instantaneous operation across all major Canadian cities and urban environments.
We currently support and provide Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (Drone Inspections) for:
SPECIALTY INSPECTIONS:
Aerial Thermal Infrared Inspections (Aerial Infrared Thermography)
We specialize in all domains of Aerial Thermal Infrared Imaging (SEE BELOW OR CLICK HERE FOR DETAILED SERVICE INFORMATION). Our work has been published in several scholarly research journals and a tandem endeavour with Draganfly Innovations Inc & FLIR® Systems was subject of a major Case Study forming a component of a larger White Paper on “Integrated 3D GIS & Infrared Imaging”.
We use both Draganfly Innovations Inc & DJI Industrial RPAS/Aircraft with interchangeable payloads (Cameras) available at any time for:
These tools allow us to capture data from distances approaching 250m with ease using the “Flagship” Payloads in our fleet, which provides clear and stunning imagery, as well as ensuring “safety for all” by opening locations for accessibility via the Aircraft in domains that were previously impossible to monitor due to risk mitigation, costs, personnel concerns, geography/architecture, all at mere fraction of the cost and minimal disruption to routine.
Our deliverables from out Inspection Solution Packages are customized per our Client’s needs and can include ESRI & Autodesk Software based Integrated Web and Mobile Applications for visualizing and interacting with your data (click HERE for further details) as well as provisioning Legal/Bonded Inspection Reports (to ASNT & ISO standards).

“Aerial Scan to BIM” or “Aerial Reality Capture" is the process of producing a digital 3D model representation of any Building or Site created by scanning it in the real world using a LiDAR Camera (“Aerial Laser Scanning) and/or an Optical DSLR Photogrammetry Camera mounted to an RPAS (Drone). Highly accurate “Laser Returns” taken from the LiDAR Camera are converted into millions of surface points which are then measured and mapped to develop a textured, high-resolution, geometrically precise 3D “Frame” which we blend with Aerial Imagery obtained via the Optical DSLR Photogrammetry Camera in Autodesk Recap & Revit as well as ESRI Drone2Map to create a flawless 3D Digital Inspection Model.
Clients can measure the model, view and analyze data in elevation maps, organize and clean up regions within the point cloud, create and/or expand the mesh, and manipulate and interact with the inspection data and model in real time using one of our GIS/BIM Location Intelligence Mobile Application Development Solutions.
Applications:
AEC, Earthworks, Building Sciences, Property & Asset Management
Benefits:
Thorough and regular inspection of a Building’s Envelope is critical to maintaining the health and longevity of any facility infrastructure. An RPAS (Drone) is ideally suited for Building Envelope Diagnostics and a thorough Aerial Building Envelope Inspection can be performed in under an hour vs days or weeks by one of our Transport Canada Certified RPAS Pilot’s working in tandem with one of our Certified “Condition Monitoring” Professionals.
Aerial Building Envelope Inspections carry the added advantage of “altitude” as well as technology. The data and imagery are leveraged directly from any one or combination of our Aerial Thermal Infrared, Multispectral and/or Thermal Infrared Optical Gas Imaging Cameras mounted to one of our RPAS (Drones). This ensures our Reports contain the highest quality imagery and data needed to support the prevention of Envelope Deficiencies, and/or to guide Maintenance and Repairs to existing facilities.
Applications:
Building Sciences, Property & Asset Management
Benefits:
Traditionally, the inspection of any “closed” space, requires extensive preparation, risk management administration, and in many instances, Specialized Work Permits from Supporting Regulatory Bodies and Property Management Agencies which can take weeks to obtain. The risks to human life in all Traditional “Close Confinement” Inspections are extraordinary, costs and downtime are typically astronomical regardless of risk.
We use a DJI Mavic 2 Enterprise Dual retrofitted with one of DroneCages Inc.’s Industrial Inspection Shells to account for “Proximity” and the “Turbulence” of confined environments. We use this as a "backup system" for the factory equipped Omnidirectional Obstacle Sensing System which is comprised of 8 high resolution vision and 2 infrared sensors that enable us to fly and hover safely.
The most impressive feature of this Aircraft is the M2ED 8-14uM Uncooled VOx Microbolometer Radiometric Thermal Infrared Inspection Camera which operates simultaneously with the 4k 30fps "Film Grade" Low Light 12mp Optical Imaging Camera, capturing Radiometric Photo & Video; enabling us to perform full Thermal Infrared Inspections at all times in “Closed Confinement” Environments.
Applications:
All "Closed" & "High Risk" Environments
Benefits:
Communication Towers are widely and generally known to be tall and complex structures that require a unique and highly trained individual and/or team to examine the tower trained to manipulate the “apparatus” and “climbing/harnessing” needed to inspect the asset. The risk to human life is extremely high and falls from Communication Tower Inspections are invariably fatal.
We use a very simple but well-practiced methodology to capture “Oblique” and “NADIR” (“Top Down”) imaging using our own IP for predefined horizontal waypoints rotating around the structure as we descend; shot from one of our 50 megapixel Optical Cameras, ensuring the maximum image resolution possible is captured across hundreds of consecutive images. We then stitch these images together to produce a full 3D Reconstruction of the Tower contained within a simple image viewing application allowing any “Inspector” to “Click” or “Tap” on a section of the tower and bring up an annotated and/or previously captured 50 Megapixel Image. As clients require, and/or request we can easily combine a Terrestrial Long Range Airborne Ultrasound Scan/Inspection conducted by one of our Level 2 UE Systems Certified Ultrasound Sonographers and/or Aerial Thermal Infrared Imaging conducted by one of our Level 3 ITC Infrared Thermographers to help diagnose Electrical, High-Resistance Joint and Potential Failure Points across the asset.
Applications:
Telecommunications & Asset Management
Benefits:
Traditional Flare Stack Inspections require weeks of planning, research, preparation and countless labour hours. Taking the Flare System “offline” with an understood outcome in productivity loss can safely be assumed to accompany a myriad of additional complications associated elevating an inspector in a man cage using a high reach crane at maximum extension and significant Health and Safety risks.
We offer a unique alternative using drone inspections (Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems) vs traditional visual inspections of Flare Stacks using one of two methods, or a combination of both. Using 3D RGB (Optical) Imaging and/or 3D Radiometric Thermal Infrared Imaging overseen by one of our Level 3 ITC Infrared Thermographer for “Full Stack” and/or “Flare Tip” Inspections for Oil, Gas, Petrochemical and/or Industrial Production Facilities. Clients are able to leverage a Sub Centimeter error grade Geo-Referenced accurate and Photorealistic 3D Reality Captured Model of the “Full Stack” and revisit model at any time, “fly around” the asset, zoom, pan, tilt and take stills, and/or examine 50mp capture stills of the entire Stack (or sections of the Stack and “Flare Tip”) to help diagnose existing deficits, and/or prevent new issues from arising. This eliminates all personnel when inspecting difficult or additionally hazardous/dangerous sections and components of Flare Stack Assets without interrupting production process.
Applications:
Oil, Gas, Petrochemical, Industrial Plants & Asset Management
Benefits:
Comprehensive inspections of Wind Turbines for the purposes of maintenance and performance by means of a Remotely Piloted Aircraft not only avoids fatal accidents caused by traditional visual inspection in high altitude locations carried out by technical workers, they ensure efficient and accurate diagnosis of maintenance across full Wind Parks. High resolution imagery capture occurs across a 15-30 minute interval “per Turbine” vs days and weeks “per Turbine”, thus avoiding periods of inactivity due to faulty components while reducing the inspection times and increasing the frequency of inspections, resulting in accurate Product Data Management (PDM) which is essential in Green Energy.
Solar Fields & Panels (Commercial and/or Residential) are no different; with Solar Farms on a large and small scale requiring extremely accurate imaging and subset data using a wide range of sensors to properly diagnose and maintain Product Data Integrity and ensure safe operation continues. Using either Optical and/or Thermal Infrared Imaging, we can easily deploy and redeploy process analysis using Fully Autonomous or Semiautonomous flights to save both time and money, allowing one of our Level 3 ITC Infrared Thermographers to spot the smallest issues before they occur and/or the most miniscule problematic and impossible to locate deficiencies belabouring large systems. We often suggest one of our Level 2 UE Systems Certified Ultrasound Sonographers accompany our Remotely Piloted Aircraft Solar Inspectors to assist with diagnosing and locating Corona, Tracking and Arcing in panel instrumentation.
Applications:
Green Energy, Asset & Product Data Management
Benefits:
One of our Certified Radiation Safety Officers (RSO-1) can deploy using a combination of our Remotely Piloted Aircraft and either a PSM (Personal Survey Meter), SPRD (Spectroscopic Personal Radiation Detectors) and/or RID (Radionuclide Identification Device). and conduct a full Site Safety Survey & Report. A PSM serves as a front-line tool for initial detection of radioactive material and is a cost-effective survey instrument for Industrial Plants, Pedestrian Checkpoints and/or our First Responder Volunteer Services when Low Levels of Radiation Energy are certain to be present and no risk to our Radiation Safety Officers exists. SPRD’s are sensitive and recognize a true nuclear threat during screening, thus they are Ideal for protecting and securing Contaminated/Leaking Environments, soft targets, crowds, stadiums, etc. We prefer the use of high end FLIR® RID’s which we use in conjunction with our Remotely Piloted Aircraft to locate, identify, and secure hazards in Businesses and Buildings with legitimate reasons for radiation sources including Hospitals, Factories and Specific Infrastructure Industries.
Emergencies involving Hazardous Materials (Hazmat), Chemical, Biological, and/or Explosive (CBRNE) substances are some of the most dangerous situations faced in the workplace. According to the Emergency Management Ontario, we experience a minimum of 10 incidents in the workplace per day, across the province on various scales. We are able to affix a wide array of SRDS (Short Range Detection Sensors) on various payloads to both models of our Remotely Piloted Aircraft to enable them to assess a hazmat situation before exposing responders to a potentially perilous area as well as perform a number of complex scans using Thermal Infrared and Airborne Ultrasound Detection.
Applications:
Any Application, All Industries
Benefits:
We understand the complexity of managing a Public Works Infrastructure (Electric/Gas) begins with appreciating its size, diversity across installations and assets, as well as their wide dispersion across the Province and Country.
We offer a wide variety of custom designed inspection packages to support all major Electric and Gas Public Works Infrastructure Utilities and their Assets. Inspections can included but are not limited to Mapping, Surveying, LiDAR, Reliability & Condition Monitoring Services, Thermal Infrared & Multispectral Imaging, Substation Inspection, Powerline Corridor Scanning to using Airborne/Structureborne Ultrasound to detect Corona, Tracking, and Arcing (before it becomes “Arc Blast”); via Terrestrial (“On-foot”) methodologies combined with or utilized on their own, our Remotely Piloted Aircraft Public Works Infrastructure Inspections allow us to perform and easily complete any number and/or combination of:
Applications:
Public Works/Infrastructure, All RCM, All Applications
Benefits:
No Facility/Property Manager, Residential Owner, and/or Commercial Entity would argue against facts that support a “Roof” representing the largest, most volatile, vulnerable and critical of all Building Assets; nor would anyone from this demographic question the altruism that they are also widely accepted as the most “costly’ to maintain and replace of all Building Assets. Likewise, all professionals accept that cost critical low, manual measurement processes, and dangerous climbs up ladders, cause 81 percent of Construction Worker ER Injuries; this alone is reason to engage our technology and inspectors.
Using a Remotely Piloted Aircraft System to inspect Roof Assets carriers near “Zero-risk” to human life and is the least intrusive (flights occur at night). One of our LEED Building Sciences Inspections working alongside a Level 3 ITC Infrared Thermographer will be able to evaluate the exact condition of your roof based using Optical/RGB and Thermal Infrared imagery to detect moisture, leaks, take measurements, and much more in a fraction of the time and is ideal for Sloped & Flat Roof Membranes, Shopping Malls, Recreational Facilities, Industrial Plants, Commercial Warehouses etc. Most importantly, information is gathered while the worker is on the ground allowing the Remotely Piloted Aircraft to collect real-time data without having to risk the lives of anyone.
We use a combination approach developed from tested methodologies from LEED Building Sciences and our own unique IP to conduct a one of kind “Five Fold Membrane Inspection” (Commercial or Residential) with deliverables consisting of:
Applications:
All Commercial & Residential Structures with a "Roof"
